So Killermonkey lost me farther down in his post.
"We do have a slight problem, I forgot to increment the internal version number of the client dll for proper functionality of the update notifier....
AND it's fixed. So if you downloaded the client patch or server patch before, please re-download the SERVER PATCH and just overwrite the dlls (client.dll and server.dll) from the bin directory.... Or else you will see the warning about being behind a version constantly."
I originally downloaded the client patch for 4.2 so now I have to download the client patch 4.2.1 if I understand correctly but what is this other crap he's talking about above?
Also, do I need to download those map chooser zip files too?
One more thing, after I installed 4.2 I started having troubles with my controller. While playing I will hear the sound that means my usb cable has been disconnected and then I'll hear it again. When this happens my controls go crazy and I have to unplug the usb and plug it in again to fix it but then it just happens again a few minutes later. Does anyone know if 4.2.1 will fix this? I hope so cuz then it leads me to think I need to buy a new controller which sucks. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for my controller but that didn't fix it.

It means, KM updated the link for both server and client patch. KM has been finding more and more bugs, but is deciding to make 4.2.2, which is highly unlikely. One of the bugs is a controller issue with GE:S, over time this will get fixed. Use a mouse and keyboard for now. Also, you only need to download the clientpatch.exe, everything else is for Server owners only.

KM responded to my post on the ges forum stating he wasnt aware of a controller bug and so its an issue on my end. Im gonna try the 360 controller instead of my failing logitech controller and see if that does it.

I think my controller was going bad. This new 360 controller works fine. Yay!
